Friends with purpose
We share good times, but we also share a collective mission - to harness our combined energy and resources to empower disadvantaged high-achieving students so they may dare to fly higher and transform their lives.

Scholarships that stay the course
We identify and award scholarships to bright local students who are in danger of not completing their education due to lack of resources. We support them for the entire length of their schooling from the early years through to university or vocational college, so that they are set up for success.

The selection process is rigorous, fair and transparent. All scholarships are awarded and monitored annually, with diligent oversight throughout the year.
We regularly work with top local institutions and are always open to working with schools in Phuket who offer their students high quality educational outcomes.
Real impact, moving stories, lives transformed
Over the past 3 decades we have seen hundreds of inspiring, powerful success stories – our scholarships make a real, measurable impact to the students and their families. Over one thousand seven hundred students have been supported by the PIWC programme. Graduates include hotel staff, doctors, nurses, lawyers, accountants, teachers and many other professionals. These students are now paying it forward through their donations to support others who are in need of help.
Dr Wittaya Ketshu
Director of Phuket Vocational College

"We extend our deepest gratitude to the Phuket International Women’s Club (PIWC) and the International Women’s Foundation for over 20 years of unwavering support in providing scholarships to our students. These scholarships have empowered determined young individuals, enabling them to complete their education and build stable, successful futures. PIWC’s generosity is more than financial aid—it is a gift of opportunity and hope, shaping skilled professionals who contribute meaningfully to society. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and students, we sincerely thank PIWC for their dedication to education and empowerment. We remain committed to carrying forward this vision, ensuring that the power of generosity continues for generations to come."
Nutrada Madnangu
PIWC Scholarship Recipient (2013-2022)

"I am a proud graduate of Prince of Songkla University’s Faculty of Nursing and currently serve as a nurse in the Neurology Ward at Siriraj Hospital, dedicated to giving back through compassionate care. My journey began in 2013 when PIWC awarded me a scholarship during my high school years at Satree Phuket School. Pursuing a nursing degree presented financial challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when my family struggled to cover tuition and living expenses. Thankfully, PIWC’s continued support through the International Women’s Foundation made my education possible. I am deeply grateful to PIWC, IWF, and Layan International for enabling me to achieve my dream of becoming a nurse. With this opportunity, I am committed to giving back by providing compassionate care to those in need."

I am deeply honored and proud to have worked with PIWC in continuously providing scholarships to students over a long period of time. This support has enabled students to achieve success in their education and careers, allowing them to give back to society in a meaningful way and contribute to the development of the nation.
Dr Pimpika Korantimanon
PIWC Scholarship Recipient (2007-2012)

"Becoming a doctor was my dream, but financial constraints made it seem impossible—until PIWC awarded me a scholarship in 2007. Their support allowed me to pursue medical school without burdening my family, empowering me to reach my full potential. After earning my M.D. from Prince of Songkla University in 2012, I worked as a general physician, where I developed a passion for reconstructive surgery. I later completed my plastic surgery residency and now serve as a plastic surgeon, helping patients in need. None of this would have been possible without PIWC. I am deeply grateful for their support and the kindness of Khun Wipa Tanmanatragul, who continues to inspire me to give back. My goal is to help others achieve their dreams—just as PIWC helped me achieve mine as a Plastic Surgeon, Hatyai Hospital & Bangkok Hospital Chiangmai."
