Phuket International Women's Club at a Glance
A Bit of Background
Here at Phuket International Women's Club, we are driven by a single goal: Friends with Purpose. We are first a social network of international women from over 30 countries (UK, USA, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan and Thailand to name a few) who bond over shared interests, meals and laughter. Since 1989, the funds we raise have sponsored scholarships to more than 1200 local girls and boys who would otherwise not be able to complete their education and now face a much brighter future. Among our graduates are doctors, nurses, teachers, veterinarians, and other professionals. Our selection process is a partnership with school and college counselors and advisors identifying those most in need and potential with the right guidance. The funds are set aside for the duration of the student’s academic course. We strive to build deep relationships and make a positive impact.
Friends with Purpose
Fun and Fundraising!
In order to support our scholarship fund, PIWC holds events, lunches, golf tournaments and the like with the purpose of fun, friends, and fundraising. A terrific way to get to know people is to work on projects together and nothing like helping local children. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Building our Community of Friends
All of us were new to Phuket at one time. With such diversity, there are many shared interests ranging from golf, contract bridge to book club, Needles & Pins crafting and sewing to weekly lunches in local hideaways--all to build camaraderie among our members. Learn more about our clubs by getting in touch with our team today.
Fingers crossed, life will soon be back to normal. In the meantime, we need to keep our members safe so no gatherings until the latest surge has been brought under control. Please check periodically for updates or send a chat message.
Stay safe, wear your mask, and social distance.
Better Futures for Local Children
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we partner with the welfare officers and counselors of local schools and colleges to identify children who have the potential to make a positive impact with our support. Once a student is selected, the funds are set aside for the length of that academic course. More than 1,400 scholarships have been awarded to girls and boys of different ages.
